Theological Links

Biblical Arts Center of Dallas
While some might think that this belongs over on the Biblical Links
page, there is much of theological interest here.

Catechism of the Catholic Church
An excellent site for Roman Catholic Theology.

Catholic Encyclopedia
Another excellent Roman Catholic webiste on Catholic
Theology. Very useful for research on many topics.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

An Omnibus links site. Very helpful for researching a wide
range of theological topics.

Guide to Early Church Documents
A helpful website for anyone interested in the History of the Church
and, in particular, the documentary history of the Church from
the New Testament period to the 600s AD. Links for later periods also
included. One of my favorite research sites.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Centre for Marcionite Research
Website for a pro-heretical movement group. Not half bad,
when it comes to historical information, but the conclusions
drawn are suspect. Not for novices.

Early Church Fathers
Wonderful site dealing with the Early Church Fathers.
Important for primary resources.

Augustine
Fantastic Website about St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo ... one of the
most influential Church Fathers/Theologians.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Gospel of Thomas Homepage
This site has a tremendous amount of information dealing with
The Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, Historical Jesus Research, and other
related topics. While Biblical in nature, it deals closely with the theological
claims of the Gnostic Community.

Stanford University Encyclopedia of Philosophy
Fantastically helpful site for issues of Philosohpical thought.
Functional on-line Encyclopedia.

Theological Dictionary
Excellent Theological Dictionary, helpful for research on many
theological issues and topics.

The Summa Theologica
St. Thomas Aquinas was one of the most influential Theologians
of the middle-ages, and most responsible for Catholic thought today.
His writings warrant consideration even by protestants, since many of his
arguments apply regardless of denominational background.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Selected Works of Martin Luther
Good site containing many of Luther's works.

Schaff's History of the Church
Scaff didn't seem to have enough to do, so he wrote some
major histories and encyclopedias dealing with the Church and with
Christian Theology. This is his maserful "History" of the church.

Wesley Information
Excellent website for linking to information about Wesley,
his theology and life.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Christian Apologetics
Theological concepts are presented in a strong
apologetic format. Good for those who are called to
debate non-Christians.

Creeds and Confessions
Very helpful site dealing with the creedal formulas of the Church

Reformation: Ulrich Zwingli
Zwingli is one of the least-known theologians of the Reformation,
however he was one of the most important. Most Church of Christ and Baptist
thought comes STRAIGHT from him. Especially when it comes to his understanding,
or lack thereof, of the Means of Grace.

Triumph of Arminianism
An excellent site dealing with the theological movement
which served as the basis for Wesleyanism.
