We returned to the Big Island, and the port of Kona, for our fifth stop before heading back to the mainland.
While in Kona we went on a tour of the Royal Kona Coffee Plantation, the "Place of Refuge,"
and Fr. Damien's "Painted Church."

The "Place of Refuge." This was really an interesting archeological, with many "grass shacks,"
and lovely palm trees.
Fr. Damien's "Painted Church"
The Congregational Church in Downtown Kona, and the Royal Palace in Kona.
Tender service on return from Kona, and views of Kona from the Statendam.
Night-time crusing past the Mt. Kilauea lava flow, as the lava hits the water.
