Tour Day 2

Day Two - Rio

Our Second Day of touring Rio was planned as a trip out of town about 90 Km to the Imperial City of Petropolis, the summer residence of the Emperor and the other ruling elite during the colonial period and following. It was a pleasant drive out from the city and up into the mountains. The temperatures were cool, very pleasant and comfortable after the heat and humidity of Rio. We enjoyed the day touring the Cathedral and the Imperial summer residence. We also enjoyed a fantastic luncheon in a local house-based establishment and purchased some chocolates for the Chocolate Goddess (RuthC).
